New Biotechnology and the Ethical Issues
Ethical issues arised by the use of recombinant techniques to save or improve lives, improve the quality and abundance of food, and protect the environment. The responsible use of biotechnology became a very critical issue.The new technologies must be used for the betterment of humankind and not abused. Ethical questions must be addressed as they arise. Discussion of ethical and social implications of scientific developments in biotechnology must be actively encouraged.The general public, scientific communities and government bodies must continue to work with international regulatory bodies to shape the development of regulatory policies .
